Fly-tying classes for beginners

At Riverbed you can learn to tie your own flies. The lesson is one hour long, and you may walk away with two ties flies and all the future knowledge to tie you own flies.

Fly-fishing rules

  1. Rod rental = R50.00.
  2. Rod deposit R300.00.
  3. First fly included in rental, thereafter R25.00 a fly.
  4. Damage to rod and reel will be deducted from deposit.
  5. If the rod is damaged beyond repair, the deposit plus an additional R150.00 will be payable.
  6. If the reel is damaged beyond repair, the deposit plus an additional R100.00 will be payable.
  7. Fly-fishing is permitted only in the designated areas.
  8. Lessons will be charged at R100.00 per half an hour.
  9. Assistance at the river can be pre-arranged for your account at R250 for two hours.
